Chari Lynn (Syrjala) Manley, 51, of Kentwood, formerly of Ionia, passed away 
Dec. 4, 2012 in Kentwood. She was born Aug. 13, 1961 in Ionia, the daughter of 
Robert and MableAnn (Bowerman) Syrjala.

Chari worked for Lacks in Grand Rapids for over 30 years. She loved the beach 
and loved and adored her grandchildren.

Chari is survived by her children, Trisha White of Ionia and Robert Aikens and 
Misty Cope of Lowell; grandchildren, Erica Hagen, Jacob Hagen, Brook White, 
Hailee White, Suri Patel and Cayden Aikens; father, Robert (Janet) Syrjala of 
Burton; brother, Mark Syrjala of Detroit; sister, Cary Dennany of Lansing; one 
niece and one nephew. 

She was preceded in death by her mother, one brother John Robert Syrjala, and 
one sister Melissa Sue Erridge.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 8 at Lake Funeral Home 
of Ionia with Rev. Kenneth Harger officiating. Visitation will be 4 to 7 p.m. 
Friday at the funeral home. Interment Balcom Cemetery.
