The Lake Odessa Wave, January 4, 1940
The body of Mrs. Viola Manley, wife of J. F. Manley, living north of Lake 
Odessa, was met at the train Saturday by Wortley and Baine, undertakers, and 
taken to the home of a son Mr. and Mrs. Alton Manley where the funeral was 
held Tuesday.  

Mrs. Manley has been in poor health for several years and had been in the 
hospital at Traverse City for help for a couple of years when her death 
occurred.

Besides her husband she leaves a son, Alva, besides the son Alton mentioned 
above.
