For years she lived in Ionia, where her husband was one of the pioneer hardware men, having a store in the old Root block, when they lived on Front street, near where the Pere Marquette depot now stands. When the property was sold to the railroad the family moved to Union hill, where they lived for many years, and during the latter part of his life, Mr. Mann had a small tin shop at the corner of Union and Lafayette streets. Mrs. Mann was the second wife of Loomis Mann, and they had one son, Ira Mann, who died about two years ago, with whose widow, Mrs. Mann has been living. Mrs. Mann spent the greater part of last year visiting here in Ionia, being at the home of Mrs. A.P. Fleckenstein most of the time. She was in failing health when she left Ionia for Pittsburgh in the fall, though still in good condition for a lady past 80 years.
