Ionia Sentinel, 19 Jun 1980

Amelia E. Manning, 98, of 204 Church St., died Wednesday, June 18, 1980 at 
Villa Elizabeth in Grand Rapids.

She was born July 2, 1881 in Westphalia, the daughter of Julius Keusch and 
Theresa Hass.

She is survived by four sons, Edward of Portland, Clarence of Eagle, Robert of 
Chesaning and Daniel of Portland; two daughters, Mrs. Gertruder Schramek of 
Kalamazoo and Sister Mary Manning SSJ of Nazareth; 28 grandchildren; 84 great 
grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren.

A rosary will be said Friday at 8 p.m. at the Neller Funeral Home in Portland.  
Funeral mass will be Saturday at 10 a.m. from St. Patrick’s Church in Portland 
with the Rev. Fr. Donald Weber officiating.

She was past president of the Altar Society.

Burial will be in Portland Cemetery.  Pallbearers will be Joseph Schramek, 
Russell Manning, Jack Manning, Richard Manning, William Manning and Robert 
Manning Jr.
