Funeral services were held Wednesday morning at St. Patrick’s Church for James 
E. Manning, 90, who passed away Sunday at Lansing hospital.  The Rev. Julius 
Amman officiated.

Surviving is the wife, Matilda, the couple having been married 60 years; and 
two daughters, Mrs. Pearl Caine of Tarpon Springs, Fla. and Mrs. Mabel 
Reifsnyder of Largo, Fla.  There is also one grandchild and one great 
grandchild.

Mr. Manning was born in Westphalia and had lived here 55 years.

The Rosary was recited at Neller Funeral Home Tuesday night, and burial was in 
Portland cemetery.  Bearers were Dan, Fred, Don, Robert, Clarence, and Charles 
Manning.
