Ionia Standard - Fri. Feb. 19, 1892


The accident to Wm. Manning’s son, Forest, which occurred on Thursday, and 
resulted from his clothes taking fire, as noted at the time in the Standard, 
resulted fatally, death coming to the relief of the little sufferer on 
Saturday. He was only 2 ½ years old.

J. Williams and daughter Tina attended the funeral Monday of Little Forest 
Manning, who was so badly burned by throwing sulphur on a hot stove. He was 
buried near Ionia.
