Lake O. Wave, Wed. April 27, 1983

PORTLAND-  Lorena Manning, 70, 968 Lookingglass Ave., Portland, died April 21 at 
her home.

She was born September 17, 1912, in Hubbardston, the daughter of Charles Cusack 
and Helen O'Connell.

She was a retired school teacher.

She is survived by her husband, Edward; six daughters, Mrs. Sally Ryan, Lansing; 
Mrs. Joyce Wooden, Lake Orion; Mrs. Patricia Platte, Portland; Mrs. Rosie Cygan, 
Ann Arbor; Mrs. Kathie Nelson, Ludington; Mrs. Donnie Knoop; Rose Isle; 26 
grandchildren; 4 great grandchildren; seven brothers; William, Herald and Hank, 
Oklahoma; Gerald, Ionia; Ernest, lake Odessa; Perd, Grand Rapids; Quint, 
Hubbardston; one brother, Thomas preceded her in death. 

Also surviving are four sisters; Mrs. Margaret Donohue and Juaniete Quin, 
Oklahoma; Mrs. Rebeca Engoron, California; Mrs. Dorothy McGrath, N. Mex; many 
nieces and nephews. 

Rosary service were Sunday evening at 8 p.m. at the Neller Funeral Home.

Funeral Mass was Monday at 10 a.m., St. Patrick Church, Portland with the Rev. 
Father Donald Weber officiating. 

Burial was in the Portland Cemetery.

The pallbearers were grandchildren.
