The Ionia County News, Thursday, May 10, 1928
A notice appeared last week in the Jackson Patriot telling of the death of 
Francis L. Manning, aged 85 years, at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Charles 
Noyes in Jackson, April 24th.  The funeral was held there last Thursday and 
burial made in the that city.  Mr. Manning will be remembered by many of our 
older readers as for many years the family owned and occupied the home known 
as Oak Lawn in this village, now owned by T. F. Millspauch of Detroit and 
occupied by H. L. Gee and family – Lyons Hearld.
