Portland Man Buried Tuesday

The funeral services of Thomas Manning of Portland, were held from St. 
Patrick’s church in Portland Tuesday morning at 9 o’clock, and the burial took 
place in Portland.

Mr. Manning, who was 52 years of age was killed Friday when the bean puller on 
which he was riding was struck by a car driven by Andrew Van Zeh of Grand 
Rapids.  The latter was exonerated from the blame of the accident.  The 
deceased is survived by his widow and four children.
