Lake O. Wave, Thurs. July 2, 1959

Albert Manshum, 62 route one, Lake Odessa, passed away unexpectedly, Wednesday 
morning at Blodgett hospital, Grand Rapids, where he was expecting to undergo 
surgery.

He was a native of Grand Rapids and owned and operated a feed store at Burton 
Heights with his brother Harry. He came here in 1949 when he purchased the farm 
four miles west of town on M-50.

Surviving are eleven children, Everil G, Evart J. , and Mrs. David (Charlotte) 
Fuller of Lansing, Mrs. Ray (Peggy) Gilman of Grand Rapids, Mary Jane, Roberta 
Ann, Arnold, Roger, Richard, Julius and Albert Jr. all at home and six 
grandchildren. 

Funeral services were held Friday at 1:30 p.m. at the Metcalf chapel with burial 
in the Restlawn cemetery, Grand Rapids. Rev. I.H. Osgood of the local Calvery 
United Brethren church officiated.
