Portland Observer - Thurs. Dec. 18, 1952


Chas. Mansil Buried here On Monday

Funeral services were held Monday afternoon at Neller Funeral Home for Charles 
O. Mansil, 76. Mr. Mansil passed away at his home on Hill Street last Friday 
morning.

Rev. Keith Avery officiated at services and burial was in Portland cemetery. 

Surviving are the widow, Fern, and a daughter, Mrs. Elizabeth Knapp, of 
Portland. There are four grandchildren.

Mr. Mansil was born at Sebewa corners on Feb. 6, 1876 and had resided in this 
area most of his life, being a resident of Portland the last five years.

Bearers were George Steward, Merl Williams, Harry Knapp and Victor Knapp.
