Rev. Theodore Forbes will officiate and burial will be at Highland Park cemetery. Mr. Marchbank died Saturday evening at Ionia Manor where he had been a patient the past year. He was born at Wardville, Ontario, Canada, August 8, 1875, the son of James Marchbank and Mary MacGoogan Marchbank. He came to Michigan in 1878 with his parents by oxen team at the age of three. June 10, 1903 he was married to Pearl Parish and they celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary. She preceded him in death in March 1965. A member of First Christian church he was also a former elder and deacon and member of the church board. Before his retirement in 1950 he was employed by Ionia public schools. Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Marguerite McGowan of Lansing, Mrs. Richard Grescowle of Diamondale; one son, Kenneth Marchbank of Lansing; four grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren. Family will be at the funeral home Monday from 7 until 9 pm. A memorial has been established for First Christian church. Alexander Marchbank Funeral services for Alexander Marchbank, who died Saturday were Tuesday at 2 pm with Rev. Theodore Forbes of First Christian church officiating, Interment was at Highland Park cemetery. Bearers were Frank Judevine, Harry Young, Byron Teaker, Harold Anslow, Raymond Coon and Clare Wilcox. Relatives attending from out of town were Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth Marchbank, Mrs. Marguerite McGowan, Mr. and Mrs. Jack McGowan and Cindy McGowan all of Lansing; Mr. and Mrs. Richard Grescowle of Dimondale; Mr. and Mrs. Colin Reed of South Bend, Ind. Richard Grescowle of Holt; Mr. and Mrs. Frank Wangerman of Petoskey; Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Smith and Mr. and Mrs. Albert French all of Jackson.
