Jerry Lee Marcussen, aged 66, of Ionia, passed away June 3, 2004.  He was born 
December 15, 1937 in Ionia County, the son of Glenn and Carrie (Kanouse) 
Marcussen. He married Wanda Cronk August 15, 1961 in Ionia.

Jerry was an avid hunter and loved sports. He spent many years hunting with 
his son Tig. Some of his other great loves were watching football games and 
Nascar races with Tig, Stacy and Vance, and spending many enjoyable hours with 
Tracy as they were entertained by Alexis, Alyssa and Alaynie.  He retired from 
General Motors, and served in the National Guard Reserves. Jerry spent many 
hours reading and helping his wife in their yard. His summers were spent at 
Dickerson Lake where he provided a wonderful place for his family to spend fun 
and loving time together.  He was a loving Husband, Dad, and Grandpa. He will 
be forever loved and greatly missed.

He is survived by his loving wife Wanda of Ionia; son Jerry (Tig) and Stacy 
Marcussen Jr. of Ionia; daughter Tracy and Vance Kauffman of Ionia; father-in-
law, Francis Cronk Sr. of Ionia; sisters, Sally Edlin of Grand Rapids, Darlene 
Patrick of Ionia; brothers-in-law, Francis (Judy) Cronk Jr. of Ionia, Richard 
(Sara) Cronk of Ionia; Robert (Bonnie) Cronk of Clarksville; sister-in-law, 
Beverly (Richard) Hodgkins of Ionia; grandchildren, Alexis, Alyssa, Alaynie 
Kauffman and many nieces, nephews and friends.

Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m., Tuesday, at Lake Funeral Home in 
Ionia with Rev. Kendall Harger officiating.  Interment Balcom Cemetery.  
Visitation will be on Monday from 2 to 4 p.m. and from 7 to 8:30 p.m. at the 
funeral home.  Anyone wishing may make memorial contributions in Jerry's name 
to Hall Fowler Memorial Library.
