Lyons Herald, 14 Aug 1919 

Mrs. Frank Marcy passed away Monday morning at the home of her daughter, Mrs. 
L. D. Sherwood, in Kalamazoo.  The body was brought to Lyons Wednesday and 
burial made in the Lyons cemetery, where the service was in charge of Rev. Geo. 
A. Brown.  The body was accompanied here by a son, Harry T. Ranger and Mr. and 
Mrs. L. D. Sherwood and daughter.

Mrs. Marcy suffered a stroke of paralysis four years ago, and since that time 
has had no use of the left side of her body.  About a month ago she was taken 
to Kalamazoo to the home of her daughter.

Deceased was born December 6, 1850, in Dewitt, Onondaga county, N.Y.  In 1871 
she was married to Thomas H. Ranger at Ionia; he died at Alma in 1889.  To them 
were born four children, two of whom died at an early age, leaving a son, Harry 
T. Ranger, and a daughter, Mrs. L.D. Sherwood.  In 1895 she was united in 
marriage to Frank Marcy, who survives.
