Ionia County News, 19 Jun 1924

The home of Mr. and Mrs. William Margoles, 715 Harrison street, was saddened last 
Tuesday morning when their four-year-old son, Samuel, died suddenly.  He had been 
ill only 24 hours.  He complained of not feeling well on Monday morning and grew 
worse during the day.  It is believed that he played in the rain on Sunday and 
caught cold.  The attending physician said the youngster died from pneumonia.  He 
would have been four years old on August 16.  Besides his parents he leaves three 
sisters, Ida, Esther and Mary Margoles, and two brothers, Myer and Isadore.  The 
funeral was held Thursday morning from the synagogue at Grand Rapids.
