Aloysious “Ollie” Paul Marhofer, 69, of Kearney, Neb., passed away Sunday, 
September 18, 2005 at Mother Hull Home in Kearney.  Ollie was born January 24, 
1936 in Belding, the son of Anthony and Mary Gondolf Marhofer.  He was married 
on May 11, 1963 to Judith Taggart and she preceded him in death in 1999.  He 
was also preceded by his parents and one brother-in-law Jerome Gasper.

He is survived by his children, Paul and Robin Marhofer of Ionia, Teresa 
Marhofer of Mulliken, Susan Marhofer of Meridian, Idaho, and Ann Beltnick of 
Ithaca.  He had four grandchildren, Anthony Marhofer, Sarah Marhofer, Benjamin 
Marhofer and Leo Beltnick.

Ollie later married Mary Modlin and she survives him along with her children, 
Richard Kaylene Hall of Nebraska, Mike and Barb Hall of Rhode Island and John 
and Ann Hall of Nebraska.  They have 8 grandchildren, Larinda Hall, Cassie 
Hall, Collin Hall, Joey Hall, Craig Allen Hall, and Dusty Hall.  Ollie is also 
survived by his sisters and brother; Agnes Gasper of Grattan , and Peter and 
Marinel Marhofer of Belding and Anna Harris of Lansing.

A Mass of Christian burial will be offered at 11 a.m. Thursday, September 22 
at St. Mary Catholic Church, Miriam with Father Charlon Mason as Celebrant.  
Interment will follow in St. Mary Cemetery.  visitation will be Wednesday 2 to 
4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. with a rosary prayed at 7:30 p.m. at Johnson-Feuerstein 
Funeral Home in Belding.  Memorial contributions may be made to the American 
Diabetes Association.
