Marhofer, 80, died Saturday at his home at 8406 Krupp road. Born in Beal City December 14, 1895, he was the son of Peter and Dora Marhofer. He was a retired farmer and member of St. Mary's church, Miriam; Holy Name society; of the church and the Knights of Columbus of Ionia. He was a veteran of World War I. Surviving are his wife, Mary, two daughters, Mrs. Agnes Gasper of Grattan and Mrs. Anna Harris of Lansing; two sons, Aloysius P. Marhofer of Ionia and Peter J. Marhofer of route 2, Belding; 13 grandchildren; four sisters, Ms. Philomena Leuder of Farmington, Mrs. Dororthy Fraiser of Detroit, Mrs. Donna Mason of Oak Park and Freda Marhofer of Royal Oak; two brothers, William of Pinckney and Leo of Lakeland, Fla. Rosary will be recited Monday at 8 pm at the Huffman funeral home at Belding. Funeral mass will be Tuesday at 11 am at St. Mary's church, Miriam. Rev. Fr John Wisneski will officiate and interment will be at St. Mary's cemetery.
