Ionia Daily Sentinel-Standard, 4 & 7 Dec 1948

Mrs. Frank Marion, 71, of 662 West Main street, died Friday morning at 9:25 
a.m. following an illness of eight to ten years.

A resident of Ionia for 30 years, Mrs. Marion was a native of Northshade 
township in Gratiot county and was married in 1907 at Hubbardston to Frank 
Marion.

She was a member of SS. Peter and Paul church and belonged to the Altar society 
of that parish.

Funeral services are to be conducted from SS. Peter and Paul church Monday 
morning at 9 o’clock.

Survivors are the husband; two daughters, Mrs. Martha Anderson of Greenville 
and Margaret of Saginaw; four sons, James of Flint, Lawrence and Kenneth of 
Ionia, and Donald of Prudenville; a sister, Mrs. Lester Mann, of Carson City, 
and eight grandchildren.

Burial will be at Mt. Olivet cemetery in Ionia.  Rosary will be said at the 
Myers funeral home Sunday afternoon at 2:30 o’clock.

Services were held at SS. Peter and Paul church Monday morning at 9 o’clock for 
Mrs. Catherine Marion, 71, who died at her home at 662 West Main street Friday 
morning.  The Rev. Fr. Raymond Pietrusza officiated.  Interment was in Mt. 
Olivet cemetery.  Her bearers were Carl Seabrook, Roy Grove, Lawrence Kane, 
Mike Eagen, William Powell, and Gerald Cusack.

Those attending the services from out of town were Mr. and Mrs. James F. Marion 
of Flint, Mr. and Mrs. Don Marion of Houghton Lake, Laurence Marion of Toledo, 
O., Margaret Marion of Saginaw, Mr. and Mrs. A.L. Anderson of Greenville, Mr. 
and Mrs. Lester Mann and Carol Mann, Mr. and Mrs. James Kavanaugh, Mr. and Mrs. 
Stanley Kelley and Mr. and Mrs. Terrance Lynch of Carson City, Mrs. Steve 
Dailey of Palo, Mr. and Mrs. Clayton Cunningham, Marion Cunningham, Mrs. M. 
Miller and Mrs. Clayton Cusack of Lansing, Mr. and Mrs. Sam Huyck of Sheridan, 
Mr. and Mrs. Charles Shoen of Grand Rapids, Mr. and Mrs. Hilary Hafner of 
Fowler and Mrs. George Hafner of St. Johns.
