Ionia Sentinel Standard, 4 Aug 1980

John Vincent (Vince) Marion, 76, of 934 Hackett St., died early Sunday morning
at Ionia County Memorial Hospital.  He was born in Hubbardston, the son of
Matthew and Grace Churchill Marion.

He worked many years at the Morse Orchards north of Ionia.  He worked for the
City of Ionia Water Department for 22 years before retiring in 1972.  He was a
member of SS Peter and Paul Church in Ionia and the Knights of Columbus.

He is survived by one son, Marvin of rural Ionia; two daughters, Marcella of
Detroit and Judy of Muskegon Heights; one daughter, Sharon, preceded him in
death in October 1979.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 10 a.m. from SS Peter and Paul Church
with the Rev. Msgr. Edward Jawarowicz and the Rev. Fr. Henry Dondzila as
concelebrants.  Burial will be in Mt. Olivet Cemetery.  A scriptural wake
service will be held at the Leddick Funeral Home Tuesday at 7 p.m.  A memorial
fund has been established for SS Peter and Paul Church.  Contributions may be
left at the funeral home.  The family will be at the funeral home to receive
friends and relatives Monday from 7-9 p.m. and Tuesday from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m.
