Marker, 77, of 2206 Ainsworth road, Berlin township, died early Wednesday morning at the residence of his daughter, Mrs. Frances Clemens of Ionia. Born January 16, 1893, in Ohio he moved to Michigan in 1908 and was married January 14, 1915 in Grand Rapids to Ethel M. Yeiter. He settled in Ionia in 1924. He was a veterinarian from 1915 to 1949 and worked for the state as a TB veterinarian from 1949 to 1955. He was a member of Masonic lodge of Saranac and Ionia Senior citizens. Surviving are his wife, Ethel; two daughters, Mrs. Frances Clemens of Ionia, Mrs. Wayne Haladis of Grand Rapids; three grandchildren and one great grandchild; one brother, John Marker of route 1, Saranac; two sisters, Mrs. Mabel Hunter of route 1, Saranac, Mrs. Amanda Cottrell of Ionia. Funeral services will be Friday at 1:30 p.m. at Morris-Roetman funeral home in Saranac under the auspices of the Masonic lodge of Saranac. Interment will be at Saranac cemetery.
