The Ionia Standard, Friday, June 24, 1910

Arthur G. Markham died at Ann Arbor on Sunday morning.  Deceased was aged 50 
years, and will be remembered by many in Ionia county as many years connected 
with the dry goods house of his brother-in-law, F. W. Stevenson, both as 
clerk, and partner, up to some ten years ago, when he took up the work of a 
commercial traveler.  

The wife and three daughters survive to lose a good husband and dutiful 
father.  The family moved to Ann Arbor less than a year ago, that the children 
might have the benefit of a university education.

Funeral on Tuesday afternoon, with burial at Ann Arbor.  John Inman went to 
Ann Arbor today, and Mrs. F. W. Stevenson and Mrs. Griffith of Freeport, Ill., 
sisters of deceased, will go on Tuesday morning, for the funeral.  Mrs. 
Inmann, a very intimate friend of the bereaved wife, has been there some ten 
days.
