Ionia Daily Sentinel, 23 May 1917

Wm. H. Marlette, 75 years old, died May 16 at the Soldiers’ home in Grand 
Rapids.  He lived in Hubbardston many years, was a private in Co. D. Third 
Michigan infantry.  Funeral at the chapel Friday and interment in Home cemetery.  
He had been failing and in the hospital department many weeks.  His sons, Albert 
and Ben of Grand Rapids and Harlow Marlette, Albert’s son called here Thursday, 
en route to St. Louis where several of his near relatives reside.
