Pneumonia Fatal To Mrs. John Marolf

Mrs. John Marolf, 47, died Monday night at her home on the E.A. Buck farm 
northwest of town, following a two week’s illness from pneumonia. Funeral 
services were held this afternoon at the Baptist church, in charge of Rev. John 
H. Stewart. Burial was made in Portland Cemetery.

Mrs. Marolf’s maiden name was Barnes. She was born on a farm near the Howell 
school and had spent her entire lifetime in this community. On March 25, 1912, 
she was married to Mr. Marolf who, with two brothers, Will and Alta Barnes, 
survives.
