Excerpts from Portland Online Obituary

                   LINDA MAE MARQUART

Died August 23, 2022-age 88.
Born February 8, 1934 in Dexter,MI to Jay and Florence Waggoner.
Grew up on a farm in Dexter,MI. with three older brothers, Bruce, Wayne and 
John.
Married for 64 years to Norm Marquart on February 6, 1954.
Lived primarily in the Portland Community with two daughters.
Linda taught middle school students in Portland Public Schools for the majority 
of her thirty plus years teaching.
Ended her teaching career working with Alternative education students.
A pianist and organist, served her First Congregation Church on Sunday morning 
with her granddaughter,Kelly by her side.
Linda & Norm moved to a nursing home in St.Joseph,Mi in 2016.
Preceded in death by her parents, brothers, and husband.
Survives by daughters, LeAnn (Gary) Krokker, Carol (Art) Alexander; four 
grandchildren;Melissa Krokker, Kelly (Abraham) Diaz, Daniel (Claire)Krokker and 
Paige Alexander & three great-grandchildren.
Funeral service will be conducted at 11:00 on Saturday August 27, 2022 at First 
Congregational Church of Portland.
Visitation will be one hour prior to the church service.
Interment will follow at Forest Lawn Cemetery, Dexter,MI.
Memorial contributions may be made to The First Congregation Church or Feeding 
America.
