Daily Standard - Friday, Feb. 7, 1902

John B. Marquette, aged 81 years, died at his farm home in Easton on Thursday, 
of paralysis. Funeral on Saturday, at 1:30 p.m., at the home, conducted by Rev. 
Edwin G. Frye of Ionia. Interment in Highland Park. Deceased was the father of 
Fire Chief Marquette of this city.
