The Ionia Daily Standard, Monday, August 1, 1892
James C. Marsh, of Orange, died last evening, after an illness of four days, 
at the age of 47.  He was prostrated by the heat while working in a field on 
Wednesday, and this was followed by a several attack of cholera morbus, 
causing death by heart failure.  His wife died about two years ago, and he was 
living along with his only child, about 6 years old.  His mother, Mrs. Thomas 
Marsh, and two sisters, Mrs. Norman McLoud, of Orange, and Mrs. Mary Wilson, 
of Otisco, survive him. Funeral from the LeValley church at 9:30 tomorrow 
morning.
