Ionia Daily Sentinel-Standard, 30 Jul 1951

Mrs. Sarah E. Marshall, 76, of 615 West Washington street died Sunday, July 29, 
at 2:30 a.m. at the home of her son, Lee, on Jackson where she had been staying 
for two and a half months.  

She was born July 28, 1875 in Wayne county, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. 
William Tate.  She married George Marshall in 1889 in Cadillac.  The lived in 
Ionia for 22 years.  He died March 2, 1951.  She was a member of the Cadillac 
Methodist church.

Surviving are the son, Lee, of Jackson, 9 grandchildren and 10 great 
grandchildren.

Funeral services will be conducted at the Boynton funeral home at 2 p.m. 
Tuesday by Dr. Howard A. Smith.  Interment will be in the family lot, Balcom 
cemetery.
