Ionia Daily Sentinel-Standard, Mon., Aug 11, 1952
Funeral services for Mrs. Mattie Marshall who died at her home at 528 West 
Washington street Thursday morning were held from the Boynton funeral home at 
3 p.m. Saturday.

Officiating at the services was the Rev. Howard A. Smith of Albion, former 
pastor of the Ionia First Methodist church.  Interment was in the family lot 
in Palo cemetery.

Pallbearers were Clarence Johnson, Blaine Laden, Viggo Nielsen, Roy Weber, 
Bert Fox and John Toutenhoofd.  Mrs. Clarence Johnson and Mrs. John Touenhoofd 
had charge of flowers.

The Ionia O.E.S. attended in a group.

Out of town relatives who attended the services were Mrs. Carl Metzger of 
Happy Camp, Calif., Mr. and Mrs. Herbert Marshall of Flint, Mrs. Thomas 
Dingman of Dearborn and Lee Marshall of Jackson.
