Ionia Daily Sentinel Standard, 7 May 1937

Mrs. Thomas Marshall, 45, died at St. Mary’s hospital, Grand Rapids, early
Thursday morning.  Mrs. Marshall was a former resident of Ionia.  She was born
June 23, 1891 in London, Eng., and at the age of eight years she came to America
with her aunt, Mrs. John Rivett of 233 Adams street, with whom she lived until
the time of her marriage to Thomas Marshall in July of the year 1918.

She is survived by her husband, Thomas of Grand Rapids; two daughters, Mrs.
Winifred Dougal of Grand Rapids, who was married about three weeks ago, and
Elizabeth Ann Marshall, 6; one son, Thomas, 8; her mother, Mrs. Charlotte
Stanley of London, Eng.; one brother, Robert Stanley and two sisters, Charlotte
and Ivy, all of London, Eng., her aunt, Mrs. John Rivett of Ionia, Arthur,
Robert and Maurice J. Rivett of Ionia and William Rivett of Detroit.

Funeral services will be held from the home in Grand Rapids at 2 o’clock
Saturday afternoon, with Rev. Higgins of Grace church, Grand Rapids,
officiating.  The body will be brought to Ionia for burial in Highland Park
cemetery.
