POPULAR LADY PASSES AWAY
Helena Schuler Marston Dies at Lake View Hospital. Burial at Lakeside, Lake 
Odessa.

Mrs.Helena Schuler Marston, daughter of mr and Mrs.S.C. Schuler, of Woodland 
township and wife of Dr. L.L. Marston of Lake View, passed away at Lake View 
hospital, Thursday evening, Dec. 12, following an operation which she underwent 
the Friday before.

Mrs.Marston was a popular girl in her own township where she attended school and 
also at Lake Odessa where she graduated.

She then attended the Ypsilanti Normal college and after finishing taught in    
the schools of Copemish, Newaygo and Woodland, she having taught in the latter 
place eight years.

On June 12 1937 she was married to Dr. Leo L.Marston of Lake View. Here her life 
was filled with activity. She was county chairman of Montcalm County Red Cross 
and was active in Civic and Methodist church Societies at LakeView.

She is survived by her husband, her mother Mrs.S.C. Schuler, two sisters 
Mrs.Frieda Cooke of Lake Odessa and Miss Esther Schuler, a nurse at Tucson, 
Ariz.

The funeral was held at the Methodist church at Lake View, the Rev. John 
Cornielius giving the sermon, and the Rev.J.S. Dealer had charge of the service 
at Lakeside cemetery, Lake Odessa.
