Ionia County News - Thursday, March 6, 1947

Leo Martianz, 2 1/2 year old son of Mr. and Mrs. Leo Martianz, north of 
town, died from burns early Tuesday morning. The fire was caused from a 
lighted lamp in the room which in some way fell on the bed ignited and set 
fire to the child while in bed. He was rushed to Pennock hospital where he 
died at 7:00 a.m.

Surviving besides the parents are two brothers and two sisters. Funeral 
service will be held at the grave in Lakeside cemetery Thursday morning at 
10:00 with Rev. Father Donald Farrell of St. Edward's parish officiating.
