Lee Martin, 75, of Ionia, devoted husband, father and grandfather passed away 
on Wednesday, March 24, 2004.  He was born on June 2, 1928 in Lockhart, Alabama 
the son of Oscar and Nettie (Williams) Martin.  Mr. Martin lived in the Ionia 
area for 33 years, was a member of the Ionia Seventh Day Adventist Church and 
was very active in the community.  He loved traveling and attending church 
camps, and had a passion for working with young people.  He enjoyed the 
outdoors, including gardening and yardwork.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Surviving are his wife of 57 years, Geraldine; children, Patricia Ann Martin 
(William) Trammell of Detroit, Edward Lee Martin of Orlando, Florida, Nettie 
Ruth Martin (Roscoe) Gray of Detroit, Michael Arthur (Rosa Linda Hora) Martin 
of Ionia, and Michael (Marcella) Fracker of Ionia; 12 grandchildren; eight 
great grandchildren; siblings, Johnny (Judy) Martin and Lucille Martin, all of 
Detroit; many nieces, nephews and friends.

The funeral service will be conducted by pastor Karl Tsatalabidis at 11 a.m. 
Monday, March 29, 2004 at the Seventh Day Adventist Church, 721 Elmwood Drive, 
Ionia with interment following at Sunset Memorial Gardens, Ionia.  For those 
desiring, memorial contributions may be made to the Ionia Seventh Day Adventist 
School in memory of Lee Martin.
