Ionia Sentinel Standard, 13 Apr 1979

Florence N. (Stanton) Martin of 231 Robinson St., Lyons died Thursday at the 
Ionia County Memorial Hospital after a short illness.  She was born Feb. 23, 
1905 in Alto, the daughter of Albert and Adah King.

She attended Loomis school.  In 1922 she married Elmer Stanton who preceded her 
in death in 1957.  She married John Martin in 1960 and he preceded her in death 
in 1968.  She has lived in Lyons since 1922 and was a member of the Golden 
Years Senior Citizens in Muir.

Survivors include one daughter, Mrs. Margaret Simons of Lyons; five 
grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; one sister, Mrs. Alberta Blodgett of 
Wayland. 

Services will be Saturday at 2 p.m. at the Hull Memorial Chapel, Muir.  The 
Rev. Mark Matter of Lyons United Methodist Church will officiate.  Burial will 
be in Lyons Cemetery.  Pallbearers will be Donald Burger, Paul Gladding, Ernest 
Clark, Coral Bennett, Martin Simon and Robert Datema.
