Ionia Sentinel-Standard, Ionia MI 9/18/1991
Harold E. Martin, 78, of rural Ionia died Tuesday at the Ionia County Memorial 
Hospital.  He was born the son of John and Johanna Speckin Martin on August 
22, 1913 in Lansing.

He was a veteran of World War II, serving in the United States Army.  He 
married Kathleen Schuchaskie on July 4, 1948 in Lansing.  He was a bus 
supervisor for Lansing Area Schools and owned the Martin Radio and TV Service 
in Lansing and Ionia.  He was a member of the Retired Teachers Association.  
He was a member of the Mich-I-Fun Seekers Camp Club since 1964.

He is survived by his wife; two sons, David and Keith, both of Ionia, his 
sister Bertha Tasker of Palo, two brothers, Lewis of Ionia and Russell of 
Lansing.  He was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Lawrence.

Funeral servcies at Cook Funeral Home, Ionia.  Burial in Palo Cemetery. Pall 
Bearers were Bruce Tasker, Marty Tasker, Carl Martin, Dan Burrown and Ron 
Speckin.
