Portland Review - Sept. 28, 2008


Reynold Anthony Martin, 81, of Portland, passed away on Sept. 21, 2008.

He was born on Sept. 1, 1927, the son of George and Mary (Nurenburg) Martin. 
Reynold retired from Enprotech after a lifetime of farming. He owned and 
operated Martin Welding. He is a veteran of the U.S. Army serving during the 
Korean Conflict.

He was preceded in death by his parents; a grandson, Lee Martin; sister, Arelne 
Martin.

He is survived by his wife Mary; children, Kathleen (Kurt) Pitch, Arlene (Carl) 
Randall, Terry Martin, Jerry (Sharon) Martin, Daniel Martin, Kenneth (Laurie) 
Martin, Mary Ann (George Hilton) Fowler, and David Martin; 17 grandchildren; 10 
great grandchildren; brother, Hilary (Donna) Martin; three sisters, Irene 
(Mike) Schafer, Bernie (Bob) Pung, and Rita (Jerry) Schrauben; several nieces 
and nephews. 

The Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated by the Rev. Msgr. Sylvester Fedewa 
on Sept. 25 at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church. Rite of Committal followed at St. 
Mary’s Catholic Cemetery, Westphalia. Arrangements were entrusted to the 
Schrauben-Lehman Funeral Home, Portland.

Alzheimer’s Association or to the St. Patrick’s Parish Boiler Fund in memory of
