The Ionia Daily Sentinel-Standard, Saturday, February 18, 1956


Albert Oscar Martin, 81, formerly of 142 East Adams street died Friday evening, 
February 17 at the home of his granddaughter, Mrs. Carl Skinner of Byron 
Center.  Born October 21, 1874 at Young America, Minn., he is the son of Marie 
and Julius Martin and was a butter maker by trade.

Preceded in death, December 13, 1955 by his wife Anna, he is survived by one 
daughter, Mrs. Ethel Allen of Ionia; a step son, Charles Allen of Ionia; two 
brothers, Herman and William Martin of Minneapolis, Minn., one sister, Miss 
Alma Martin of Minneapolis, Minn., two granddaughters and twelve great-
grandchildren.  One daughter, Mildred Martin died in 1943.

Funeral services will be held Monday afternoon, February 20 at the Myers 
funeral home and interment will be in Highland Park cemetery.
