Martin, 50, of North Plains township, Ionia county. Mr. Martin, a veteran of World War II, passed away at 12:10 p.m. Monday in Veteran’s Hospital, Saginaw, following a two-year illness. The services will be held at the Hubbardston Methodist church, with Rev. Harold Ox, pastor of the church, officiating. Interment will be in the West Side cemetery. Arrangements are in charge of the Burns Funeral Home of Carson City. Mr. Martin was born in North Plains township December 2, 1909, and graduated from Hubbardston High School in 1927. He had spent all his life in the Hubbardston community. Surviving is a daughter, Mrs. Lois Carter, of Hubbardston; five grandchildren; four sisters, Mrs. Robert Burns and Mrs. Maizie Girvin of Hubbardston, Mrs. Henry Bennett of Muir, and Mrs. Calvin Vance of Pewamo; and two brothers, Sterling of Swartz Creek and Donald of Hubbardston.
