Ionia Sentinel-Standard - Wed. Feb. 29, 2012

Kathleen Marie Martin, 88, of Ionia passed away on Friday, Feb. 24, 2012. She 
was born on Jan. 3, 1924 in Webberville, the daughter of August and Nora 
(Nichols) Schuchaskie.

Mrs. Martin was a founding member of the Ronald Township Fire Department Ladies 
Auxiliary, a member of the Mich-I-Fun-Seekers Camper Club from 1964-1991, a 
Lifetime Member of the Central Michigan Lapidary Society (Rock Club), as well 
as an avid Gene Autry Fan Club member. Kathleen loved horses, the outdoors and 
cooking.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Harold in 1991; two sisters, 
and four brothers.

Surviving are her two sons, David (Donna) Martin, and Keith Martin, both of 
Ionia.

The Funeral Service will be held at 2 p.m. on Saturday, March 3, 2012, at 
Lehman Funeral Homes, 220 Rich St., Ionia. Interment will take place at Palo 
Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at 
the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, a memorial contribution may be made to the Ronald Township 
Fire Department in Palo, in memory of Kathleen.
