Last Rites for Zella Martin

Mrs. Zella Martin, 81, of Charlotte, passed away Wednesday, June 30, at the 
Eaton County Facility, Charlotte, following a long illness.

She was a lifelong resident of the Charlotte and local areas. Mrs. Martin was a 
member of the United Brethren Church of Charlotte.

Surviving are a son, Henry Martin Jr. of Lansing; four daughters, Mrs. Robert 
(Zella) Holcomb of Lansing, Mrs. Keith (Myrtle) Mitchell of Charlotte, Mrs. 
Allen (Beulah) Houghton, Lake Odessa, and Ms. Benson (Henrietta) Hitchcock of 
Kalamazoo; one sister, Mrs. Ruth Desgranges of Lake Odessa; two brothers, Bert 
Rowlander of Nashville and George Rowlander of Grand Ledge: eight grandchildren 
and eight great-grandchildren. Her husband passed away Nov. 3, 1962.

Funeral services were held Saturday at 1:30 at the United Brethren Church, 
Charlotte. Rev. Ronald Hoffman officiated with burial in the Dimondale Cemetery.
