The Ionia Daily Standard, Tuesday, August 7, 1900
Addison J. Martin of Danby township, died Saturday, August 4, of a 
complication of diseases, terminating at last in dropsy and gangrene.  He was 
born in Orange, April 21st, 1850, being 50 years, 4 months and 14 days old.  
In 1873 he married Laura J. Davenport, who with their one daughter, Myrtie, 
survives him.  He leaves one brother, Ed Martin of Danby, and four sisters; 
also a large circle of friends to mourn him.
