The wife of Daniel Martin died at her home in Danby on Saturday last, aged 47 
years, from the effects of a tumor, from which she had been sick some time.

The funeral was held on Monday last and interment made in the Danby cemetery, 
Rev. D. E. Millard preaching the sermon.  The funeral services were quite 
largely attended.

It had been supposed for some time that the cause of Mrs. Martin’s sickness 
was a tumor, and on Saturday Drs. Swaney of Eagle and Alton of this village, 
made a post mortem examination and removed a fibroid tumor weighing 9½ 
pounds.  Deceased leaves a husband two daughters.
