PEWAMO- Alexander J. Martin, 75, of 252 Yates St. died Friday morning at Carson 
City Hospital following a brief illness.

He was born Oct. 9, 1905, in Pewamo, the son of Peter and Rose Martin.

He attended Pewamo schools and was a World War II Army veteran, serving in the 
European theater. He was a farmer and custodian for Pewamo schools, retiring in 
1969. He also was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Pewamo and the 
Golden Years Senior Citizens of Muir.

Surviving are one brother, Casper of Dearborn, and two sisters, Miss Josephine 
Martin of Pewamo and Mrs. Margaret Helfer of Dearborn.

Services will be held Monday at 11 a.m. from St. Joseph Church, with the Rev. 
Thomas Bolger officiating.

Burial will be in the church cemetery.

Parish rosary will be recited Sunday at 3 and 8 pm in Hull Memorial Chapel in 
Muir.
