Sentinel-Std. - Thurs. Aug. 17, 1967

Funeral services for Charles J. Martin, 81, of 365 Washington, Pewamo, will be 
from St. Joseph Catholic church in Pewamo Saturday at 10 am. Burial will be in 
Most Holy Trinity cemetery, Fowler.

Mr. Martin died Thursday morning at his Pewamo residence.

Born in Dallas township in Clinton county, March 1, 1886, he was the son of 
Jacob and Caroline Bengel Martin.



He was a Dallas township farmer most of his life moving to Pewamo five years 
ago.

In 1910 he married Bertha Simon, who survives.

A member of St. Joseph Catholic church in Pewamo, he also belonged to Holy Name 
society.

Besides his widow he leaves a sister, Mrs. Louise Schneider of Pewamo.

Rosary will be recited daily at 3 and 8 pm at George funeral chapel of Osgood 
funeral home in Fowler.
