Norma J. Martin, age 61, of Ionia, passed away Aug. 13, 2007.  She was born 
March 13, 1946 in Sebewa Twp. the daughter of Floyd and Kathleen (Sleight) 
Monks. Norma married Ray Martin Oct. 23, 1965 in Ionia. She was previously 
employed at the Ionia Sentinel Standard and General Motors August 1969 - March 
1973.

Norma is survived by her loving husband of 41 years, Ray Martin of Ionia; 
sons, Ray (Bridget) Martin of Virginia, Tony (Betsy) Martin of Wisconsin and 
Matt (Marjorie) Martin of Lansing; brother, Charles (Sharon) Monks of Ionia; 
grandchildren, Amy, Levi, Tabitha, Sabrina, Val, Mady, Lily, Boua, Darlene, 
Dolley and Sebastian; great-grandchildren, Nadia and Kloud and 10 nieces and 
nephews.  She was preceded in death by her father Floyd Monks in 1995 and 
mother Kathleen Monks in 2005.

Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. on Friday at Lake Funeral home in 
Ionia. Interment is at Sunset Memorial Gardens. The family will receive 
friends and relatives on Friday at 11 a.m. until the time of service at the 
funeral home. Anyone wishing may make a memorial contribution in Norma's name 
to Michigan Heart Association or Make a Wish Foundation.
