Ionia Sentinel Standard, 15 Aug 1944

Mrs. Gladys Martin, 31-year-old Ionia resident, died Monday night in Bronson
hospital, Traverse City, following an illness of several months.  She was born
February 26, 1913, in Ionia and had spent most of her life here.

Surviving her is a daughter, Phyllis, her mother, Mrs. Lee Stevens of Ionia; two
sisters, Mrs. R.R. Lampman and Mrs. Donald Pearce of Ionia; a brother, Richard
Kiel and a half-brother, Jerry Stevens.

The body will be brought to Ionia Wednesday morning and funeral services will be
held Thursday afternoon at 2 o’clock at the Myers funeral home.

[Transcriber's Note:  There is a notation on the obituary card that she was
buried in Highland Park Cemetery.]
