Geno S. Martina, 77, of 807 State St., Belding, died Sunday, May 19, 1991, at
Grand Marais.  Mr. Martina was owner and operator of the Western Auto Store in
Belding for 10 years and Martina’s service station for 20 years, retiring in
1975.  He was a former member of Belding Lions Club.  Born Oct. 23, 1913 in
Chuisa Forte, Italy, Giosue and Maria Fuccaro Martina, he came to the United
States with his parents in February 1924.

He is survived by his wife, the former Matilda M. White; a daughter, Pat
Martina, Buffalo, N.Y.; a son and his wife, William J. and Kathy Martina,
Greenville; four grandchildren.  Also surviving are two sisters, Mrs. Richard
(Norma) Scanlond, Southgate, Mrs. Rosemary Lovely, Orlando, Fla.; two brothers,
Carlo Martina, Allen Park, Joe Martina, Hendersonville, N.C.

Cremation has taken place.  Memorial services will be held Thursday noon at
Johnson Funeral Home, Belding, conducted by the Rev. Kenneth Harger.  Interment
is in River Ridge Cemetery.  Memorial contributions may be made to Michigan
Heart Association.
