CLARKSVILLE- Casmira Martinez, 88 of 138 Cross Street, Clarksville, died August 
28 at Pennock Hospital in Hastings.

She was born March 4, 1900, in San Antonio, Texas.

She was married to Antonio Martinez November 5, 1920, in San Antonio.

Martinez moved to the Clarksville area in 1936, and also attended Wesleyan 
Church of Clarksville. She was grand marshal of the Clarksville Ox Roast August 
13, 1988.

She is survived by three sons, Arthur and Antonio (Tony) Martinez of Grand 
Rapids and Alex of San Antonio; one daughter, Angelita Nieuwkoop of Temperance, 
15 grandchildren and several great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by 
her husband and one brother, Fred Briseno.

Funeral services will be August 31, 1:30 p.m. at Wesleyan Church in Clarksville 
with the Rev. Arthur Ruder officiating. 

Burial will be in Clarksville Cemetery. Visitation will be August 30 from 2 to 
4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at Koops Funeral Chapel, Clarksville.

Memorial contributions can be made to the Wesleyan Church in care of the 
funeral home.
