M. R. R. nearly ever since work was begun on this section of the road, and who for the past two years has been one of the section hands under H. C. Mathews, died at his boarding place in this village on Thursday night of last week, having been taken ill on the Saturday evening previous with the disease called spotted fever. He was a young man of very steady habits, and by his faithfulness and good conduct had won the good will of the company employing him and the esteem of all his fellow workmen. He had saved from his earnings while on the road $1,000, which he had invested in a farm. His parents live on the east line of this township.
