Marvin, 83, of Kingsley, passed away Thursday at Birchwood Nursing Home. She was born in Orleans on February 17, 1924, to Erme and Goldie Hill Face. Barb loved to volunteer. She was a foster grandparent, senior companion for 13 years and a Girl Scout leader. She also enjoyed bowling in the bowling league. She worked at W-L Molding Plastics in Portage until her retirement in 1986. After retirement she moved to the Kingsley area and resided at Hillcrest AFC Home until recently. She was preceded in death by her parents; sister, Dorothy Dreger; and brothers, Alva and Earl Face. She is survived by her children, Sally Ann and Floyd Kantz of Mayfield, Gloria and Dennis Ingersoll of Alaska, Mich., and Texas, Gary and Debbie Marvin of Kalkaska, and Sharon Marvin of Kalamazoo; seven grandchildren, two step- grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren, three step-great-grandchildren, and two step great-great-grandchildren. Per Barb’s wishes, cremation has taken place and a private family service will take place at a later date at Orleans Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be given to the Senior Companion Program, the American Heart Association or the American Diabetes Association.
