August 18, 1916 FUNERAL OF MRS. MARVIN THURSDAY Rebekahs Have Charge Of Last Rites in Liberal United Brethren Church Speaking to a large congregation of saddened friends and relatives, J.E.Edwards performed the last rite, over the remains of Mrs.Harvey Marvin in the United Brethren Church Thursday afternoon. The funeral was in charge of the local Rebekah lodge, of which Mrs.Marvin had long been a prominent and influential member. The remains were interred in Lakeside cemetery. Mrs.Marvin did at her farm home east of town Tuesday afternoon. Death which was caused by neuritis, was not unexpected, as she had been ill for a month previous. She leaves a husband, and two brothers, Clayton and Plinney Russel. Of the deceased, it can honestly be said that those who knew her best loved her best. Her life has been a splendid example of unselfishness leavened with a human sympathy that endeared her to every person with whom she came in contact. Additional Comments: Lakeside Cem.
